Lil' Wayne - Too Big For his Britches?

...or is he just a little bitch?

Sir, without mixtapes you're visibility would be next to nothing. Your whole crew bounced from the label, it was you and Birdman, and then you started with the mixtapes. Dedication 2 was considered by many to be one of the top hip-hop albums of the year, and now you're going to compare DJ Drama to Clue and Khaled? Those two would be nothing if it wasn't for the their street mixes, and Drama IS working on a major-label effort.

This whole RIAA situation is infuriating. These guys are suing everyone and their grandmothers (literally) and for what? I read a theory here on the net the other day that the RIAA are just suing and arresting everyone to make people scared of them. The idea being, if you get away with some wild and crazy shit, than everyone is scared to do anything with the music.

And what's even scarier is the fact that in most situations, mixtapes are condoned and even SUPPORTED by the major labels. They are the ones who leak the singles off their artists latest albums, they are the ones providing the DJs with freestyles and remixes, and they cut checks to the DJs to help them get the word out on their artists. Yes, the RIAA operates independently of the major labels, but the labels PAY to be a part of the RIAA. When are they going to realize the actions taken by this vile organization leave everyone hating the record industry even more than they do now?

...and oh yeah...
