I find it hilarious that this piece of news got me out of my LJ slump (I have several entries I've been too lazy and busy to post, urrggh!), but I just had to share this, because I went through a whole gamut of emotions as I learned about it, from "WTF?!" to "OMGOMGOMG" to "Shit, I'm scared of what they would sound like, I don't wanna hear it" to " ( Read more... )

Not bad. Do you know who writes most of their songs? Anyway, you're right, their songs are catchy, pop-ish, radio-friendly and, dare I say, tween-friendly. xD naks, jaja is going back to her tween years. hehe. na-miss ko tuloy ang hansons - san na kaya yung cassette tape ko nun very first album nila...wahaha! mmmbbboopp...tick a ta ba do ba

Wahaa, korek, balik-bata tayo Jing ahaha! Ako din may tape ng Hanson ano baa... lemme guess, may Spice Girls ka rin ano? Haha! Ako wala. I have a friend though who was never ashamed of admitting she loved the Spice Girls back then, and even now (hi, Etch!). Haay, pop talaga. It's good if you just want to be happy and have fun. :)

Not sure who writes the songs of Tinted Windows, but all the members are very capable. My guess is it's the guy from Fountains of Wayne, the debut single sounds like something he would come up with. Ang pinaka-shock factor lang talaga para sa kin eh yung fact na magkasama si James Iha at Taylor Hanson sa isang banda. As in napa-nganga talaga ako when I read the article, haha! ;D But James' crunchy guitar is very evident in the song; that's his contribution, some edge to the pop influences of the other three.
