productive day is productive
so the power went out here about 3pm.. cue me actually having to do something rather than being a sloth.
I gardened
- repotted some self-sown snapdragons, vietnamese mint (I think that's what it is), and some other self-sown plants that I don't know what are yet as they're still young
- swept the front courtyard, which was kinda difficult given it was windy, but I got rid of all the big leaves and pine needles
- tried to pull apart the wooden planter box that the bottom rotted through, didn't work well, need to borrow an axe
- watered poor plants that haven't been watered for about two weeks
during this time I had a call from R to make sure my power was out to, while we were on the phone she had an SMS from M to make sure it wasn't just him, while at the same time my across the road neighbours checked their fuse box, and my nextdoor neighbours got very confused because I had my (battery operated) ipod stereo blaring while I gardened ("do you have power" "no" "huh?" "batteries" "oh").
power was back by the time I had finished (perhaps long before) and I was feeling all energetic and motivated so did a massive clean of my bedroom. dustbunnies under the bed were quite scary (I usually don't move the bed when I vacuum as there's not much space). wiped down and cleaned out the bedside tables/drawers and moved everything around to give me more room (now I can fit another piece of PAX wardrobe in!!). very pleased overall
