Hooray for spring...

...cleaning.

Now this is the kind of fringe benefit that I was hoping for when I took this job. In an effort to reduce clutter in the office, the decision was made to get rid of the shelves upon shelves of music-related products, none of which are actually necessary to do our jobs and nobody remembers anymore why they're even here in the first place. We were allowed to scavenge for stuff to take home, and the rest is going to be composted or freecycled or something and who really cares because we already grabbed the good stuff.

I scored:
- several thick piano/vocal/guitar songbooks
- method books for jazz and pop piano
- an encyclopedia of Hollywood film actors*
- four USB-to-MIDI interfaces

* not music related

Total retail value, somewhere around $350. Pretty good.

If only I could think of a plausible way to sneak a $2500 electronic piano home too...
