Nice icon! <3 Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. (Wish you could come too!) I suppose more nudity is about it - I couldn't think of anything else either.
I wonder if some of my distaste for Scott Pilgrim is due to so many people LOVING IT and I simply can't understand the appeal. But mostly I find the characters boring/unlikable, the art quite lame (everyone looks the same), and the stories uninteresting. Also, it's kinda gimmicky, which irks me a lot.
I've never seen the Last Unicorn - what's it like? (Yes, I could Google it, but your opinion is more relelvant XD) I would also like to hear your rant ;D Especially as you ranting is a rare event!
Well, I suppose I might be slightly biased, as my affection for the movie is rooted in childhood nostalgia. But I didn't see it for many years after first watching it as a kid, and when I finally did see it again, I found it very beautiful. The animation is neat and I do like the characters/story a lot. Also, I've since read the book several times, and it's one of my favorites. If you can check it out, I highly recommend both book and film. :)
Haha, I might have to write a rant, if only to relieve my pent-up aggression towards this thing, haha.
Aaaaahhhhh but I really want to see you! And you're always so busy, I dunno when I might get another chance for ages, OH NOES. I'll email and maybe we can figure something out?
I wouldn't take the Vigilant Citizen very seriously. The "meaning" behind Telephone sounds suspiciously like the sort of convoluted BS we made up about our art projects the day before a crit. If there's anything I learned in college its that a good bullshitter can make a case for almost anything, regardless of its credibility.
The James Randi Foundation put out an article on the Vigilant Citizen and their theories about Gaga.
Wow, is this the first time you've seen killjoy dav come out? I'm sorry, now you know how un-fun I can be.
It had certainly never occurred to me that you would buy that sort of thing before. The way you introduced the link was just kinda vague so I wasn't sure what your take on it was.
I do like the title, it sounds like the sort of title that's so awesome no respectable periodical would deign to use it (which seems to be the case). The closest thing I know of to a credible publication having a cool name is the Huffington Post and it was really just a fluke that it's founder had a reasonably interesting surname.
I still like "Advice for Upright Citizens Who Are Respectable".
Maybe I should pretend to be a crazy conspiracy theorist now, just for kicks.
But yes, "Advice..." is my favorite ever. Oh man, I just realized the abbreviation for that is AFUCWAR, woah! Nice. I miss the inkcircus so. Dearly hope to get back to it one of these days...
Have no clue about Scott Pilgrim other than knowing the premise of it and seeing various people pooping kittens about it because its apparently SO GOOD OMG. bring on your rant I'd like to get the real dirt on it :D
I'm currently pooping kittens about you going to see The Last Unicorn thar Schmedrick XD so jealous. how was it?
