To the...three people(?) who read this, watch My Own Private Idaho. It's River Phoenix's first film. He is, of course, incredible, really really incredible. He plays a young prostitute.
Keanu Reeves is in it and is also incredible. He has a reputation as a crap actor, which I think is inaccurate. I wanted to write something extremely articulate about the particular way in which he is underrated, and then I found this. It says it better than I could. So... now that I've done my public service for the night, I can sleep peacefully.
