New Bike.
Let me tell you about my wonderful friend Sam. Some people can paint. Some people can write. Some people can sculpt. Some people can make beautiful music. Sam does this. For those wondering what the picture of my open door is, that's how far the door opens with the bike behind it, so it's pretty much invisible.
Sam really outdid himself. I mean, I'm not a biker by any means, and I haven't ridden intensely, really ever. I mean, a few times I rode whatever clunker I had around, but I never truly had a good bike..... until now! He really built the perfect bike for me. It's durable, it fits me perfectly (save a shorter than desired seat post, but he just directed me to a perfect replacement on ebay), it's super easy to ride and is just all cool and stuff. It fits perfectly behind my door (although I have yet to install a mounting system) and it's light and easy to handle.
Sam, it was worth the wait. I'll be in your debt for a while. Well, especially until I pay you for the parts.
I also got to ride around Chicago and carry the bike with me on the trains and all that. I certainly felt cool, but I probably looked like a total newb. I really like the freedom of the bike and I hope I will enjoy riding it and not just drop it.
