Luceti...is that Latin or something?

Stuck here? Oh, well--that's not so bad. Julius can manage without me for a week or two. [Let's be honest, she's basically not at all concerned.] So everyone here showed up bewinged and bewildered?

I write for a living. You get me started, it's hard to stop.

At least you are honest about it.

This place is called Luceti.

And you seem positively taciturn.

Luceti? Catchy name.

Oh, brave new world, and all that. Sounds like it'll make a decent vacation--not that I've got much choice.

Unfortunately, my dear, we are nowhere near as lucky as to have garnered entrance into Heaven.

After failing to make it to church for twenty years straight, I thought it was kind of a long shot. I hear it's closer to the planet theory, anyway.

Indeed it is. Or so I've heard. Kidnapped from home, brought here with no passage back, the usual sort of 'Oh Lord, oh Lord, we're all going to perish' thing. Only it isn't as bad as all that.

'Not so bad' as kidnapping with no passage back? All right, then, give me the good news.

These are much smaller than real angel wings.

They do seem a little stunted. Can you actually fly with them, or are they just for show?

amber_arcangel May 5 2011, 00:44:02 UTC
Most people can't.

But it's possible?
