i just think it was the dentist I went to, honestly.
ODSP i think is on the same GWL insurance, but i think the eligibility might be slightly different. I think my pulpectomy for my tooth was covered but the root canal was not.
I think it's a bit of a laugh that extractions are covered, no questions asked though! ;p
Go to the UofT Faculty of Dentistry. Might be tough to get in, but I called and said I had an emergency filling needed and I was put into the program without waiting. As for the price, my last root canal cost around $300 there. They generally have things for half the price of regular shops.
UofT isn't accepting any patients right now, not even on emergency basis :( That was my first choice, of course but I'll have to wait until August to get on the patient roster.
that's my next plan of action, i called my boyfriends' dentist and the receptionist suggested that I get it filled and then get the crown after. I guess I'll have to wait and see if the filling will hold out until August :p
I go to Steelworkers' Dental on Cecil. I don't know what they charge for procedures like that since i've only ever gotten check-ups, but they're really nice and chill and if your insurance plan doesn't fully cover appointments they don't charge you any co-pay, so based on that i'm thinking it might be cheaper.
