Belladonna & The Awakening: I've heard the buzz all over the spoken word scene for the last year, and now they'll be at my show! They really embody the theme of poetry/music fusion, and the band will be kick-ass to back you up on your open mic sets. They are really stoked about it!
Ryk McIntyre and Melisa Guillet (theryk & rainbows27): Most importantly to me, there is this amazing poetry duo from the U.S. with whom I have been trying to coordinate their feature at my show for quite some time now. Finally the time is upon us. I am extremely proud that they will be featuring at this show. They write about all sorts of conventional and unconvention topics (and how the two intersect). They balance each other in hardness and softness, and you never know which is going to be which. Ryk got onto slam teams a bunch of times to compete at Nationals, and Melissa has won awards, so you know they gotta be good. ;)
