To follow up
my previous entry on my all-time favorite fanfics, here are five of my favorite fan videos.
5. "Yellow"
This is a dramatic, angsty kind of vid. I like
cryptictac's use of slo-mo black and white in the scene from "Half Wit" where Cameron runs after Wilson (which bookends the video), plus isolating the yellow-tinged scenes from "Lines in the Sand." Favorite moment: :55 to :57, that smile.

4. "Elephant Love Medley"
I was first shown this by
bernie_laraemie who made me watch it like three nights in a row. Made by
mystictwilight, it is a lovely cracktastic video, so over the top and dramatic, matching the theatrical nature of the song. Bonus points for actually making Wilson the "man" in the duet! Favorite moment: 1:41, when Wilson is surprised about the monster truck tickets and "Up Where We Belong" swells on the soundtrack. Also at 2:40, from "No Reason," when House punches Wilson during the line, "Nothing will keep us together."

3. "Focus"
This is a theme vid about the first half of season four.
hithah rather interestingly uses some child scenes of Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer, Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps at the beginning to illustrate the theme of change. Favorite moment: :45 to :48, when Thirteen discovers the empty cup of pills that the patient took to kill himself in "97 Seconds," and House throws the sheet over the second patient from that episode (who also died) while the lyric, "No heroes for me that day/ How unfortunate," plays on the soundtrack. Another favorite moment: the closing shots using the black and white scenes from the episode "Ugly" (which is how they appeared in the original episode, when the characters were being filmed for a documentary) and the audio from Amber's closing scene with the patient from "Games" on the soundtrack.

2. "Big Machine"
Again, awesome editing and quick cuts, this time by
nella_malfoy. I can't say much more about this video, as it's the visual sense and the cutting of just about every House and Wilson scene from the series which gives a nice cumulative effect, upbeat because of the pace of the song yet also a tinge angsty. Favorite moment: so many to choose, but :31 to :36 with House looking away during, "I'm in love but you don't care." Also: ending with the wonderful hallway scene from "Son of a Coma Guy."

1. "Bukowski"
This somehow perfectly captures the character of House, and the cynical nature of the song combined with the almost nursery rhyme-esque beat is matched perfectly with the editing. Favorite moment: 1:29 to 1:53, especially the kind of mini-whiteboard montage, including one of the best moments from the entire series - when a frustrated House pushes over the whiteboard in "All In." Also any moment that includes a patented Wilson reaction shot, such as him throwing his hands up in the air or face-palming it.
An added bonus: I adore
hithah's Bert/Ernie as House/Wilson videos. My favorite is probably
Wilson Worries Too Much for being both funny and sick at the same time.
