I lost my seashell ring. It was the ring that Dan proposed with. Ironically, I lost it while we were shopping for his wedding band. At first I was really upset about it, because that's something that can never be replaced. On the other hand, it is a reminder that material things are simply that - material. Although I can't replace that ring, the important thing is the relationship that it represents - and that, thankfully, can't be lost!
I'm not sure if that is a genius revelation, or a sign that I need more coffee. I think I'll make some coffee, just in case.
