(no subject)
Mum was here for a couple of days, which was nice. I tried (and largely failed) to resist the urge to go "and this is my... and this is my... and that is where... and here is where I..." lol. And we found chairs to replace my giant sofa of giant omg omg!! They're very small wing chairs, second-or-possibly-third hand since the red fabric is quite faded, but the frame still feels pretty solid. They're a bit like this:

There are two of them, and one is a frickin' rocking chair whoo!. It's occured to me that I can't stretch out in a chair the way I do on a sofa, which is total sadface, but it'll at least be awesome to get rid of the massive sofa I've got now and have something to sit on to start with. There'll still be room for a small sofa in the future, and I don't have to sit on the floor until the right one comes along. So that's good. And frankly for $45 each chair I'm not complaining!! I will need lace doilies to cover the faded parts though. Oh noes I hate lace.
Sooo... anyone in the Wellington region need a massive sofa? Make an offer and take it away!
