loans cancelled after approved, but before probation?
I applied for FAFSA frants and loans for the 2009-2010 school year.
I attended summer quarter in June.
Summer I was awarded grants in the beginning of August, and signed my electronic signature for loans on Saturday. Sallie Mae web site says loans approved and awaiting disbursement. Grades will be posted tomorrow.
Here is the problem: Due to being hospitalized and diagnosed with a chronic medical condition, I will fail two classes. The only class I won't fail is my distance learning class.
The financial aid office says my loans will be revoked for SUMMER. I understand being put on probation for FALL, while I appeal, but SUMMER?
My loans were approved before I failed. Shouldn't I still recieve the loan for summer?
I hope so, so I can use the funds to attend for fall pending the appeal. Does anyone have any information on this?
