I work at a bank and see overdrawn accounts all the time. I have a few regulars who consistently overdrew their accounts. Two haven't done so in over a month, here's why. And i apologize for the lack of paragraphs. 1) if you have trouble keeping track never ever pay at the pump. It can take weeks to come out of your account, whereas if you pay a ( Read more... )

I got so frustrated i grabbed his hand and wrote 'don't pay at the pump' on his hand in sharpie. A month and a half of no overdrafts.

i hope you had his permission to do that...otherwise, you could have easily been risking your job with that. don't ever write on another person!

i don't let other people touch me without asking permission - someone like that may have ended up with a bit of a problem. the OP is no exception. NO TOUCHY (especially with permanent marker, wtf?).

Thank you for saying this. I appreciate the OP's intent to help people avoid overdrawing their accounts, but done without permission, grabbing someone and writing on them is exceedingly unprofessional.

yes, skin varies. i have one friend who ends up staring at permanent marker for at least a week (and she washes her hands frequently, as she's a nurse). she has very delicate, very pale skin.

This.

I once wrote on my arms with a crayola washable marker while cheering at a game. It WOULD NOT COME OFF! I had a formal dinner to go to that night as well. I tried all sorts of things to get it off. I finally had to resort to using a Mr. Clean magic eraser (which you're not supposed to use on your skin!) to remove it. My arms were a violent radioactive pink color for weeks.
