My story is this: Saturday March 21st, I bought a dress for 40% off at a well-known-ish boutique store. They were very nice, and very helpful and I was very pleased with both my purchase and the customer service. I asked if the sales stuff was marked down additionally, and at the time it was not.
Today, the 31st they announce that in-store and online sales stuff is marked down another 25%. Now, the dress was a good deal, but it was still an investment for me and who couldn't use another 25% off? I called the store and they said they do price adjustments within 7 days with a receipt. The receipt is no problem, the 7 days is.
Has anyone successfully negotiated a price adjustment after the stated time period was up? I'm not asking "should I try it?", I'm asking "has anyone ever actually done this?" and if so, how?
