pet sitting rates AND rental application question.

Jan 10, 2008 18:54

1. I've been asked to pet sit from a Fri night to a Sunday afternoon in house. I'd go there and stay [edit: the whole time] with their 5 dogs. I've never done it for non-friends, though a rescue friend recommended me to this person. I have no idea what to charge. I have a background in dog rescue and have taken a dog training class (I work with shelter dogs.) Any suggestions on rates, places to look for ideas? I don't want to sell myself short, but I have a hard time ever asking for what my services might actually be worth. (I am in Florida if cost of living makes a difference.)

2. I am in the process of moving for the first time in 8 years. I have a property management rental application that asks for bank account numbers, why? The property management has been around since 1990. I am not sure why they ask for account numbers, I'd rather not give that info.. but I do have an open account that has never had more than $1 in it that I'd give if I had to.

Thanks in advance.
