Frugal Crafters

I am a frugal knitter/crocheter.  I prefer making scarves and afghans from scrap yarn found at yard sales.  Fellow knitters think I am nuts but I do get a lot of compliments on my finished project.

Are there any frugal crafters out there?  I would love to hear adventures.
