I wish I could. My city is big on making downtown all pretty, but they haven't bothered to put sidewalks or bike paths on any public roadways, making it dangerous - you have to ride on the street with no paved shoulder and cars going by at 45 MPH! (Plus, I would never risk it now that I'd have to take my 1 year old along.)

I was really hoping in my new home (I'm moving next week) I'd be able to bike, but again - busy, hilly road into town, and a 1 year old.

Ah, well. At least I can garden in the new house, and that's exercise, too! :)

oh MAN! I'd SO much rather have my own garden then have to bike to a grocery store to buy my own groceries! we rent (a house at least)...and my landlord is overly psychotic about e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g!

Yeah, I figured it was worth the trade! Saving money on groceries this way will be much more fulfilling! (Apparently we have berry bushes, too, but I don't know what kind. And concord grapes...) We have been blessed.

I hope your landlord gets on some medication. :P

I need to get one of those!

But I still don't know where I'd go to bike! :P

we have two big parks in town and the first rule is "NO BIKES"

ROFL.

You just reminded me that where I am moving there are a couple big state parks, and I can definitely bike there. Thanks!

ROFL!

Actually...I'm moving to a town of 1400 next Friday. :P But Akron OH is 30 miles away and they use a lot of county land for their water reservoir, and they've turned the land into parks. :)

That sounded so much like the town I live in, that I had to check your userinfo. Lo and behold, you live in the same place my best friend does. (I live in Tennessee) Small world.

lol. I like it a lot, but the local gov't is terribly short-sighted. Has she told you about the sewer line that keeps breaking from overuse - so much the state got involved - and yet they still keep giving out permits to develop on the line? :P
