I've been trying to come up with a solution to this problem for 3 years now... and it just occurred to me that someone on here might have the answer!
A few years back, I bought a white bikini w/ pink hibiscus flowers on it. I bought it at the end of the season, on clearance, and I only ever wore it once (didn't even get it wet!). Unfortunately, some of the green ink (from the flowers' leaves) somehow ran into the white of the background... and my "brilliant" plan to fix it was to use a Clorox Bleach pen.
Only AFTER I did this did I happen to note the "do not use cholorine bleach" tag on the suit. So, now there are yucky yellow-ish splotches all over it.
I have another swimsuit to wear, so it's not a huge deal, BUT, I really liked this one (I waited all season for it to go down to 75% off), and I feel like it was such a waste of money, because I never got to wear it!
The only idea I've come up with is to get some fabric dye (maybe in a pale yellow) and dye the entire thing... it would change the color of the flowers, too, of course, but maybe that would look ok?
I just can't think of anything else to do, and I don't even know if that plan would work.
Any suggestions??
