V. confused. Please help.
Didn't see any insurance-related info on the memories, so I'm asking y'all.
My car got hit in a parking lot last weekend. Totally not my fault, wasn't in the car at the time. Me and the kid who hit me exchanged basic info. I called my insurance agent, who told me to file a claim with the insurance company of the kid who hit me.
So how do I go about this? The online claim filing thing on the insurance company's site(State Farm, btw) seems to be oriented towards state farm customers, not people who got hit by state farm customers. Do I need to call a state farm agent in the area? Do I need to talk to the kid who hit me's agent? I want to get my car fixed without the financial grief, and hopefully soon, but I have no idea what I'm doing, and my family keeps bugging me to do something about it. Help?
