Cleaning a burnt pan...

So tonight I did a very stupid thing and didn't pay attention while cooking and now I have a pan with Tuna Helper scorched to the bottom of it. It's one of those big huge pots that costs way to much to replace though and I currently don't have the money to go drop $50.00 on a new pan...so I'm hoping someone here has a cheap remedy for getting the pot clean (or I suppose if anyone knows where I can get a cheap pan... :-) )
