so. my wife and i both work for the same company. i'm an EMT, she does billing. i've never owed taxes to the government at the end of the year except for when i've worked here. and now, for the second time in two years, when tax time rolls around, i owe ALOT of money. last year it was over $800. when that happened i changed my withholdings so that they took out an extra $20 a week, should have been more than enough to correct for an $800 discrepancy. this year we owe over $1200. my employer must be calculating our withholdings incorrectly. is there any action i can take against them? they've been screwing us over royally in a few different ways, and this is really the last straw. they barely pay us a living wage, and now we owe $1200 we don't have to the feds. we JUST finished paying off the taxes we owed from last year...
