Presents for work-related travel

Dec 16, 2006 16:03

I'd really like your help with this one, please. I need a present idea for people whose job is to travel for weeks at a time and inventory hospital pharmacies.

Why am I asking here? Because my aunt and uncle do *not* get paid very well, they don't like all the traveling, and I don't have all that much money to get them a gift. And I figured if anyone would know about "jobs that make them travel that they really hate but do it for the money anyway," it would be some people here, right? If there's a better community for this, please point me there, and I apologize for the disruption.

So, for all you people who HAVE to travel for work, what would you like for christmas?? What's something you would just *love* to have? Something that would keep you comfy on those trips? What's something you would actually *use*?

I never travel (too expensive!), so I have *no* idea where to even start :( And Googling just brings up pricey things they wouldn't use anyway. I'd appreciate any help you all can give me.

Oh, and just to make this relevant to the community, here's my Holiday Presents tip: All throughout the year, I sign up for free stuff over at the freestuff community, and then I give it away for presents. This year, I gave an expensive full-size bottle of shower gel, a gift bag of Burt's Bees stuff, and a calphalon baking pan. All gotten from free promos, all free to me.
Also, I am currently making cookies to give away as presents, because who doesn't love homemade cookies?? They are from scratch, and absolutely delicious.

travel, gift ideas, free stuff
