(no subject)
so i applied for 4 different work studies- most were for being a research assistant to certain profs. i was at work all day on monday and could not answer my phone or my emails. a prof called me 3 times- but didn't leave me a message and emailed me once that day to hire me for the position. however, once i got back to her she said she couldn't wait and hired someone else! so pissed off. she couldn't wait 8 hours while i was at work... she couldn't even leave me a message on my phone- how am i supposed to know who is calling me. some people have jobs! gah! so friggin mad. dal says i probably don't want to work for a person like that. i have heard that she is a mega-bitch, but i do not know first hand.
however, i got another call from the head of graduate studies to come in for an interview tomorrow. this is not research though, it is just being an assistant. but it pay 14.22/hour while the other only paid 9.72/hour. i am sorta holding out for another research position though, so i may ask my prof tomorrow if she has found someone b/c she was curious if i had applied for the position she had available.
i have to get out of that job of mine. i hate it sooo much. they have been screwing me around with shifts and stuff and it is really stupid. i have been there for nearly 8 years and they bumped ME to give someone who has been there 8 months a shift! that is just ridiculous.
i need a new life!
