It's Painfully Beautiful on The Other Side
Walking on egg shells can only keep you safe for so long. The first time you falter, it's all eyes on you. One thing turns into another and before you know it, you've become the special guest star in an episode of The Outer Limits. You'll never hear the end of it, because that one time will be sure to bring up all the other times and so on. By this point you've come to accept that this is your life and that to complain is to try to release responsibility of and ownership to it. Do you deserve something better than this?...Maybe. Do you deserve anything less than this?...Most likely not it seems. Everyday I find it easier to accept this though. Things don't get to me as much as they used to. I guess it's the beauty of giving up on certain aspects of life in myself. I'll just do the same thing my parents told me to do about my childhood experience, to get over it.
