I am so incredibly sad about the death of Michael Jackson.

He was an icon and phenomenon, with a beautiful voice and energy.
Someone truly special is no longer with us.

Michael was an incredibly huge source of happiness in my life.
I maintained extreme fan status throughout the trial and persistent jokes, accusations, photo comparisons, and freak labels.
His trial was something that really made me understand the insanity of 'stupid' fans that defend accused criminals, despite sometimes overwhelming guilty evidence (like OJ for example) - whether they be celebrities or family members - simply due to their incredible love for someone that they might not even know personally.

In Michael's case, not saying I think he did it or didn't do it.
I'm saying, I still remain a die hard fan of his entertainment persona, which can be separated by his credibility as a good-doing human being (although all the charitable good he has done for decades, remains extremely under-represented)

John Mayer explained it well by saying
"Michael Jackson proves, in a really sort of perverse way, that maybe we're not as offended by your behavior as we are entranced by your music. And think about that. Think about what level of quality you must have to attain to have somebody say, "I know that you're accused of having molested children, but I can't hate you for that as much as I love you for your music." I'm not saying that's right or wrong. But I'm saying that its fascinating. That somebody could be that great. That somebody could have that much of a marriage with your emotions just through music."

Anyhoo, I didn't mean to make this a personal vendetta.
My friends and family were kind enough to call, to see if I was ok.

Michael will be sorely missed by his devistated family, friends, and fans across the globe. I can't speak much more to what's already been said by millions of people. And those poor, poor, poor children.

It was interesting on the news, however, when someone brought up a good point - could we really see him growing to be old?

People magazine did an extremely unclassy 'tribute' to both him and Farrah, where they posted several previous covers which the celebrity's were on - but they were cover stories ridden with sex, drugs, and rumors. Disgusting.
TMZ (I think) also released a horrible image of an intubated Michael receiving CPR, while being driven to the hospital. A mind-burning image.

I primarily enjoy the things I've been hearing and reading from Deepak Chopra. He seems to be incredibly open and honest, and does not shy away from harsh questions. He gets through the both tough stuff and the great stuff, while continuously preserving a brightly spirited and regarded picture of Michael.

I have enjoyed the pieces written by Deepak Chopra and Rabbi Shumley. Both critical for his abuse of medications, also paint a fair but commemorative picture of Michael. I'm SO sad!!!
