Happy New Year's Everyone...
So here it is...Only 15 minutes away from it no longer being the funnest and most exciting year of my life. I only wish I could remember everything that happened so I could look back on it and think about the great times, and the bad times. But I can't, and there are only some memories and people that will stick with me, and that I can name off the top of my head, out of the hundreds I have crossed this year.
-This was the year that started off with getting braces.
-Jeff. Need I say more? The biggest mistake of my life. And Rocky, and their friends and their actions and the rest of those ugly, disgusting heathans that they hung out with from Port Orange.
-This was the year of Chris Montag, and Robbie Bell, and the destruction of it all with Louie Garafolo.
-This was the year I found out what straightedge actually meant, and found out how important it actually is to me, soon becoming straightedge myself.
-This was the year of heartbreak, heartache, and betrayal to, not only me, but a lot of my friends.
-This was the year that I was taunted, and teased and made thought things that weren't true, until I finally figured out that I won't be spending the rest of my life with the person I thought I was, and finally stopped chasing him, noticing that I am getting nowhere with a boy that has clearly, given up.
-This was the year that I saw A.F.I and went to Warped Tour for the first time.
-This was the year of Travis Shelton, and those other great, fun guys we met at Oceanwalk, that night that changed all of our lives forever.
-This is the year I found out my brother/best guy friend is moving away, causing a permanent hole in my heart.
-This was the year that crazy haircuts, clothes and Converse shoes came back in style.
-This was the year that Katie O'Neill befriended us, due to both of our hearts finally realizing that that boy was nothing but a lump of shit.
-This was the year that Priscilla Maurer became one of my best friends, and the year that my very first best friend and I reunited, talked, and cried together.
-This was the year that I comprehended that my parents have split apart, didn't see my father for 8 months, and then finally saw him just recently.
-This was the year that I actually spent Chrsitmas with my whole family, and it was splendid.
-This is the year that I met, and fell in love with Keith David Leisner. <3
-This is both the year of many mistakes I have made, and the best and funnest year of my life.
But I will sleep better tonight, not knowing what is ahead of us, and knowing that a whole new year has started, and it's about time I start over, learn new things, fix some mistakes, grow up a little bit more, but most of all, enjoy being young....
and just have a good time.
And if you think about it, it's still 2003 in California.
