here i am again! i hope you're as excited to see me as i am to see you!!!!
so here I am, in Skagway, AK. I'm glad that i'm able to post an entry into this recepticle while I'm up here in the 49th state. What a trip. No really, it's been a trip. I feel like I've learned quite a bit about myself while being up here.
I'm considering coming back next season. Since I've paid off my important debts, I've calculated that I can come back from the season with at least 10k next year (that's after living+wtfevs costs). Maybe I'd take pedalpalooza off to enjoy some actual summer (we haven't really had one up here), but yeah. Then again, could I really go back to working for Wells Fuckhole? Grrr... at some point this fall/winter, I'll figure out how much money really means to me, and how much i'm willing to give up. Who knows, maybe I'll work for wells fargo when I get back to portland! how exciting.
grr... so amanda's in canada right now, and i've been drinking canadian hunter in her absence. and i might go and check out art night. and finish my walrus piece. I've fallen in love with bears and walruses up here (tho i've yet to see a walrus in the wild *i've seen a bear!!!*)
it's not so bad up here :) epic hikes, GREAT tap water, and no major development anywhere... but don't get me wrong, I miss fast, reliable internet. and fresh(er) and cheap(er) produce and food goods. if you're ever in alaska, expect to spend a good amount more to eat out/go out/etc.
