Specialist (Business Systems and Insights)
Responsibilities:
- Work with vendor, departments, co-operatives and unions to amass and analyse data from various sources (relational databases, spreadsheets, text files and web services) for the implementation of an Enterprise-level. Data-warehousing solution, including Business Intelligence/Analytics software and CRM applications.
- Design and maintain strategic reports and charts to support management decisions and business direction.
- Design and maintain regular member and company profiling information for recruitment, marcomms and union organising channels.
- Prepare membership insights, patterns and trends via data manipulation and analysis, employing statistical research methodologies.
- Provide ad-hoc data extractions from various systems, with analytical commentary where appropriate.
- Perform analysis of campaigns/marketing initiatives, and recommend appropriate course of actions.
Requirements:
- Degree in IT, Computational Finance, Statistics or Business.
- 1-2 years' working experience preferred. Fresh graduates with good results are welcomed to apply.
- Ability to interpret large, diverse datasets from multiple sources and transform them into business insights.
- Proficient in Business Intelligence/OLAP Tools.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel, MS Access and MS Visio.
- Knowledge in SQL and other data manipulation languages.
- Equipped with logical creativity and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiastic, inquisitive and determined, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- System implementation and project management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with C#/VB.NET/ASP and other Microsoft programming languages preferred.
- Independent, systematic, fast learner and a good team player.
