Show Description:
The Vegas American Superstars show is constantly in a state of flux. If imitation is really the sincerest form of flattery, then a growing list of stars has been effortlessly flattered by the American Superstars Stratosphere show. As new stars rise and fall in the music world, the show reinvents itself. Not content to be a Legends in Concert style show, American Superstars Las Vegas prides itself in keeping well up-to-date. Sure, Elvis and even Michael Jackson make appearances during the concert - but it's really the new acts that make the show a worthwhile experience.
Proving the show's versatility, it's opened by a short Elvis impersonation by singer Darren Lee - he's the former recipient of the Number One Elvis Tribute Artist, an award given out each year in Memphis. It's one of the highlights of American Superstars Las Vegas, but it's certainly not the only one. The constant updating of the show's stars means the production always feels fresh, as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake and a collection of other popular stars of today's music world are imitated onstage during the Vegas American Superstars show.
The musical numbers are, as always, immaculately reproduced here. American Superstars Stratosphere is a nice collection of current and former standouts, meaning there is something for everyone here. And it's one of the cheapest shows in Vegas, too, especially for an hour and a half of quality entertainment.
If nothing else, it's amazing to see these singer/actors so devote themselves to imitation - an art form not really celebrated once you leave the city limits. But Las Vegas American Superstars takes this form to its logical conclusion, and the rotating cast means that every show will include a different array of stars at the aptly named Theater of the Stars.
The American Superstars Stratosphere runs extensively throughout the week, going dark only on Thursdays. Each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday there are two showings, at 6:30 and 8:30pm, while the other days of the week feature a single 7 pm performance.
