This state sucks!
I had my appointment today. I checked in and gave my medical coupon to the receptionist and she said it was last months then it dawned on me that I never received my coupon for Feb. She looked it up and after 37 weeks of having medical now all of a sudden it's pending. Great timing! My appointment went well I didn't have to get checked! I asked about it and the Dr. said that they don't do it unless you're over due because it's uncomfortable and it doesn't tell you much. I could be dilated to 5 and stay there for a week before it's baby time. So that was comforting because I wasn't looking forward to getting checked weekly. Anywho, when I got home I called CUP to find out about my insurance and the lady told me it was terminated as of the last day of last month. She didn't know why and put me through to the welfare office. while I was on hold my social worker called me and told me that she just got off the phone with them and they are going to turn my medical back on today and I can go up there and get my coupon whenever. Apparently when I applied for cash and food assistance a month ago they shut everything off to reevaluate everything I think that's a bunch of bull shit! Plus I applied for assistance a MONTH ago you'd think I'd be getting help by now but this state is screwed up in the head and takes it sweet ass time because it's not their problem. We've been living off top ramen and mac and cheese. We're out of just about everything and our parents have to help us out. How lame is that! Rent is due tomorrow and we only have 1/2 of it so I have to try to get a payday loan since they don't know I'm no longer working just to make rent. Then I guess my account at the bank will be very fucked and overdrawn but at least we'll have rent!
