My trip with Michael to North Carolina was fun. I met Beka and Tara, his two best friends from junior high. Tara is really quiet and reserved, but Beka is awesome and funny. I really hope she comes to visit sometime. We went to the beach and to Green Springs and stayed in a crappy (but not too sketchy) motel. I'm pretty tan (for me).

The last day we were there, as we were heading out, we stopped at Green Springs again. It's the huge dock thing in the water that has five levels total that you can jump off of. There are swings and a zip line into the water. It's pretty cool. HOWEVER. The zip line is off the third level. I was pretty scared to do anything because I'm a huge pussy and scared of the water. Michael had done a bunch of stuff, though, (including jumping off the fifth level) and I finally decided that I would try the zip line. It seemed the most harmless since you hung on to this bar thing. HOW WRONG I WAS. As soon as I kicked off from the third story I fell into the water and landed on my back, and let me tell you my friends, water is not soft. My back hurts really badly, as does my neck. I've been waddling around. I came over to my dad's house this morning to go to work and my dad made me stay home and make a doctor's appointment. I think I'm probably just badly bruised, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to back injuries and three story falls.

DON'T TELL THAT TO MICHAEL, THOUGH, HE THINKS I'M MAKING TOO BIG A DEAL OF IT.

Whatever. The trip was really fun. I am glad I got to spend that time with Michael and meet his friends; it was a really good experience. I can't wait until I can show Michael where I grew up. I'm thinking about proposing the idea of a Houston-trip to my parents as a graduation present. That would be pretty freaking sweet. It's been years since I've been back. I really really really really want to see Jennifer, and I haven't even spoken to Emily in YEARS. Damn, son.

Well, my dad's home. And I have to poop.

michael, injuries, special events, friends
