Friday Five: the 13th Edition

Sep 13, 2013 11:25

1) Friday the 13th?  Ha!  Bring it!  Like I posted on my FB page, when you have 5 kids, every day is like a Friday the 13th.

2)  You know what's really scary?  Aging!  I got Icy Hot patches and bifocals all in the same day!  Two of my myraid old lady gripes have been alleviated!

3)  And scarier still???  The fact that Eliza somehow convinced me to let her get a hamster.  A lot of bad decisions are made in the midst of carpooling mayhem.  The kids have discovered my Achilles heel.

4) Bad decisions are also made when you are hungry.  I am about to embark on an 8 week paleo challenge at my CrossFit gym.  UGH.
As much as I wanted to convince myself that all the cheese fries and soft serve cones I'd consumed all summer had not changed my physique, my tight pants tell me otherwise.  Goodbye all food that is delicious.  Hello granola that tastes like baking chocolate rolled in mulch.  For the next 56 days expect me to be on a murderous rampage from lack of sugar.

5) Hey!  I captured a photo of Weston!  His fall baseball and fall soccer seasons both started two weeks ago and it has been loser city.  Neither team has been able to find their groove.  I was just about out of Vince Lombardi-isms, so thankfully yesterday it was wins all around!  Weston scored a killer goal and made several base hits (obviously not in the same game!), thus ending an unfortunate run of bad luck.

friday five, everyday life, weston
