How did I forget, I will always be that boy in the world of stars.
Entry 1: A New World
I waited on top of a hill on an unknown planet, looking out into this strange world for a long time. Till one night it became pitch black with a new moon and heavy fog covered everything, everywhere. You could barley see your own hand in front of your face. As I stumble out into the unseen, reaching for a hand to help guide me. I was only able to walk a few feet; I would end up tripping on rocks that were in the way, but I always got back up and scrap off the dirt and blood that covered me. I keep on searching into the unknown.
Now and then I would come across what looks like a faint glowing star, as I dashed after these star like things, they would faded away and I was left alone again in the darkness just in a different place then before. I always thought to myself “Have I been here before? Is this the way out? Or am I going in deeper?” After days and days of chasing after these stars hoping to be lead out of the darkness, I finally saw a sun. Only one of the few on this planet each one is more scared then the one before. I ran after this sun and try to grab on, only to get burned and left watching it. As I waited by the sun, stars came and went but the glow of the sun had made me discard these measly stars that where around. As I just stare and watch the sun, trying not to be blinded from the beauty of it, a star came along and joined the sun. I then stood up and also tried to join with this sun, but only yet to be burned again. This time I became temporally blind. As I try to search around for a safe place to stay I ended up clasping onto the ground.
When I awoke I was surrounded by a few stars, the sun was gone. These few stars took care of me while I was sleeping. As I try to stand, the stars came and helped bring me to my feet. I then looked at the stars and saw that these where the same ones that tried to help me wander in the darkness. The stars came and rubbed their small glowing selves against my face. This time I wasn't burned instead their warmth healed me. I stayed put for a few days to recover from my wounds, with these stars. Even though I wasn't one of them, they cared for me like their own.
As I went to bid them farewell they gave me a gift, it was a torch, to help guide my way. I bid farewell to them and I told them that I would return. Even though they couldn’t talk and I wasn’t sure if they could understand me. I then walked in the darkness lead by my torch which gave off the same warmth the stars gave me. After a bit of wandering I came along the sun I meet before. This time I didn't try to grab on, I stared at it briefly till the star I saw before with the sun, started to fly around the sun with a brighter glow then before.
This bright glowing light made me filled with jealousy and anger that I was not like these stars and I couldn't have the warmth they had and join with a sun of my own. I ended up sitting there, figuring if there was a way to make this feeling go away. Even though the sun burned with passion and the flames burned at me, all it gave off was coldness. After awhile the bitter cold forcefully put out the flame on my torch, which was my clue to leave the sun and its star.
I wounded, “Why can't I be like the stars? Why am I who I am? What is so great about being me?” As I tripped in the darkness; I got up too see one of my star friends from before. I wasn’t sure how I knew it was the same one because they all looked the same but it just gave off this feeling it was one of them. It was running away from something I couldn’t see. It gave me this look and I knew it was afraid, not for what almost happen to itself but what was about to happen to its friends. My mind then went blank for a moment and all I could think of were that little group of stars that I have now consider friends. I looked out in the darkness and soon things became clearer, I saw a beast running after the stars. The stars unable to defend them self in any way I ran to their rescue.
The beast was a big black Minotaur. He was black from head to toe beside his bloodshot eyes that shifted and stared at me; he tilted his huge head in puzzlement and then began to speak. "Who shall this be that has ran into thy path?" I started too shivered in fear of this beats and responded. "I am thyself." The beast smirked and chuckled, "And who is thyself?" I then stared into the beast bloodshot eyes and said firmly, "Thyself is me, and that is all you need to know." The beast then became mad and fumes started to come out his nose in anger and yelled, "Very well then, why are you here?" I then thought to myself and told the beast "I am here to stop you." The beast then started to chuckle to himself, "You defeat me? Ha! I have been in many battles and not one warrior’s blade has touched me."
As I then stood up staring into the eyes of the beast I felt a warm feeling by my right hand, if was the stars. They brought me a sword. I took the sword and drew the blade from its sheath. The handle was made of gold with a clear jewel at the end of the hilt. The blade has a word written down it that was in a different langue and the polish at the edges of the sword made them glow into the darkness. The sheath was also gold and it had pictures of stars on it.
I then griped the hilt of the sword and yelled at the beast, "What is the name of this fool creature I shall defeat?" The beast grinned and said, "Your about to die at the hands of Jarogniew." Then beast then unleashed his dark black glowing claws and dashed forward towards me. Sacred and shivering I held on to the hilt of my sword as tight as I could, as the beast was only a few feet away everything slowed down. I saw my life flash before my eyes, I thought to myself. "Is this the end?" The feeling soon brushed off and the world started to go in slow motion. I looked up into Jarogniew's eyes of furry and stuck my sword in front of me. By the time Jarogniew saw the blade in front of him it was too late, he ran his dark body straight into it. His heart was pierced. As the dark red blood began to drip out of Jarogniew heart and run down my blade, dirtying my hands of tainted blood. I thought, "Is this who I am? Is my purpose to be the watcher of these stars?"
The stars then rushed to me and cared for my wounds, apparently my arm was clawed in the battle. I soon felt the warmth of the stars on my shoulder healing it, then I thought, "Yes that is my purpose, I might not be like the stars, I might not have my own sun but I have the ability to protect the ones that have what I cherish."
This is the day I meet the stars that would change my life.
Today was good. I liked today.
