So in one sense I sympathise with Liverpool over Luis Suarez but in another, I don't understand why anyone would want to a) sign him or b) keep him. If I were them I'd offer him to any non-English side and see who bites first ... pun absolutely intended.
Oh man, I wish Real Madrid or Bayern or some club like that with lots of money had come calling for him. As much as a part of me wants to keep him for footballing reasons, because for all his asshattery he is an absolutely brilliant player, another part of me would be relieved to be rid of the trouble. But not to a PL club. Not to a club that we'll have to face at least twice every season, and especially not to a club with whom we're directly competing for 4th. (At least Torres had already gone crap when we cashed in on him.) I'd hate to see him go to Arsenal and strengthen them. (Also, pun approved. :D )
It'll be very interesting to see how Moyes does. I've a lot of respect for what he's done with Everton, considering how limited his funds appear to have been, but it remains to be seen if he can take the step up. Being Man United's manager is a very different beast!
It's kinda the same with Rooney, if a European side were in for him I'd say let him go but because it's Chelsea, I'm more than willing to have an unhappy striker in the team. I'd rise above if he did force the move but you just can't sell your best players to rival teams (take note Arsenal!). I just wish players would make a professional statement instead of either staying silent or being a dick about it. It's all very childish at the moment.
