Southland.
I don't know why this show doesn't get more attention. The second episode was the best forty minutes of television I've watched in quite some time. It dealt with some heavy themes but the humour stopped it from being too dark. I think it benefits as a whole from only having short seasons, this one is only ten episodes long. While it may be just another cop show, it's THE cop show to be watching right now. Michael Cudlitz and Ben McKenzie are awesome together.
Supernatural.
It feels a bit like the old days, kind of. They can't ignore the last few seasons but the brothers are hunting again. It's nice to go simple.
Quite enjoying it, the guest stars have been fantastic so far. I'm glad they're dealing with Dean's mental state and not sweeping it under the carpet but the whole "you okay?" "I'm fine" things is a little tired now. I don't mean for him to be suddenly happy but something needs to happen in that area sooner rather than later. His man pain tends to break me. It also says a lot when the guy having hallucinations of Lucifer is the well adjusted one.
Very much looking forward to the next episode where I believe things might move forward with the Leviathan thing, they seem a smarter foe than usual. I have a theory on who the boss is, although I've heard rumours to suggest we may see whoever that is soon which may pour water all over my theory.
The Vampire Diaries.
Haven't really got that much to say. I'm more interested in Caroline and Tyler than Damon and Elena and I've realised I like Stefan more when he's with Klaus, which is a touch worrying. Also, I'm not missing Bonnie. Jeremy seems to get better looking with each season which fills my shallow comment quota.
Things I've learnt: Don't watch The Walking Dead while eating.
