Time Trumpet (BBC2 Now)

This makes no sense to me. They're supposedly interviewing celebs and such in thirty years time, looking back on the events from 2005 (or earlier) on. So we see an old blonde welsh woman pretending to be Charlotte Church, an old grey haired bloke pretending to be Tony Blair wandering around the dustbins, two old geordie fellas pretending to be old Ant & Dec, that woman who pretends to be Condaleeza Rice on Rory Bremner's show pretending to be June Sarpong, etc. Then we cut to Stuart Lee, Richard Ayoade*, Matthew Holness* and Adam Buxton as they are now, not aged-up to look like they're talking in 30 years time.  Eh?

Thing is, that juxtaposition (if that is the right word), is actually spoiling the flow of the show for me. Am I missing something or being too logical here, or does this just not make sense?

*Amazon says 'Garth Marenghi's Darkplace' is being released at the end of this month. Hurrah!
