It's showtime
So to all that showed up to my finals performance saw the height of my cosplay powers. The show was great with a warm, loving reception from the lesbians in the crowd (Thanks girls you are tops!) HOwever I was not the grand prize winner, that went to another showgirl. I did however get a cosconation prize of a job doing shows and Bingo at the Beat Nightclub every Tuesday night. Yay me!
The DJ's love me, and have made close ties with a few. One is even the younger brother to one of my oldest goth friends and was invited to a party to remember old times. Ethanol punch, lots of pot and great goth music on a hot sound system. Hoping to spend more time with the two of them to rekindle friendships...maybe even more as the DJ is hot *giggle*
There is some sad news in that my grandma (on my father's side) died in the early hours of the morning on the day/night of my show (Sunday 2am). Will be heading up to my home town on Thursday to bury my ancestor on Friday. Having to do all this as a boi so I'm biting the bullet for the sake of saying goodbye to my grandma. My immediate family is not willing to tell the truth so It's 'girl-incognito' for a few hours plane travel, and the funeral.
I do have plans to go to the Soverign Hotel, the local gay haunt, and see if I can do a show on Friday night. Expand my fan club *giggle* as I so want to keep my eye in and learn more from this style of performance.
FIrst night at work tonight so hopefully will see a few of you out on a week night.
