You would need to poison the cancerous cells inside the body, so yes. Unless there's a tumor visible on the outside of the body, which means surgery to remove it would need to be involved.
A tumor is a large lump of swelled flesh that appears on the outside of the body. Sometimes the tumor is on the inside. Tumors are common signs of mutated and defective cells, which are the cause of cancer.
