recovered after Laerad's net session, which was very cool. we mamaged to discover a racing game which had a sumo type mode, and having trucks smashing into each other on the moon or on top of pyramids is brilliant! all i need now is to get my quilt back and i will be a happy man

Other stuff may have been played while i was asleep, but the stuff above was cool. We didn't do the ridiculous enormous massed peasant battle on Rome, which is a shame because it was one of the highlights of a previous session. nothing like seeing an army of peasants with slump of flaming pigs for a general :)
i bought THUD! the other day (new Terry Pratchett). Have not yet decided whether it is good or not, so i am reading it again. opinion to follow.
on the 19th this month it will be 1 year since i joined the thresher group. Now is it just me or is reaching the anniversary sailing dangerously close to "this is not a temporary job" waters.
ah well, never mind. I quite like the job anyway.
