Ah, another great weekend at work. The state UIC and I just umpired the 10U district championship game. It was an incredible weekend. I only had one rough game, but it wasn't because of me - they didn't care for my partner. It is really amazing to feel like the big bosses have enough respect for me to let me do championship games and such. I really love this job. Now if I can just get the parents to remember what the game is all about. They get more into it than the kids do. They get all mad if they lose, but the kids get over it after 2 hours because they are ready to go to the pool. It cracks me up when I hear the crowd make up funny stories and rules of their own because they don't know the rules of the game. Gosh... gotta love it. The only stinker part is the attack of the bugs. Boy oh boy was I in huge pain this weekend - the bugs severely attacked me where I felt like I got shot 20 times around the legs. At least it's getting better and I can rest up until state next weekend. Woohoo!! Now what to do this week... hmmm definitely need some ideas... :0)
