Summer, 2010, so far

Aug 14, 2010 00:32

I've been enjoying summer this year. More so than most summers. Taking the time to just soak it in and let it lay.

The season began early this year, in May actually. In Paris. And it's outskirts

Soon after our return we headed out to Chicago and Indiana (Valparaiso) for a family wedding

Amy's outdoor wedding (and cousin Steve gives away the bride)

I somehow doubt that Mom will be around to see me married.

Illinois has some cool architecture.

We spent fourth of July doing the usual, camping in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania

This is the NNS site. Our tent is in the middle under the Kelty...

Our camping association, Northeast Nudist Society, has this pavilion which houses a full kitchen with two commercial ranges, two sinks, refrig, cabinets full of pots, pans, dishes, utensils. The pavilion also houses two showers.

A drag debutant ball on the "landing strip" always takes place an hour after the NNS party ends.

NNS is no Iwo Jima.

I love Glen but I hate that wig.

We spent the second week in July, as usual, in Provincetown.

Biking the dunes

I love the wade through the marsh to Boy's beach (Herring Cove)

One of the Hilda Neily still life's we brought back.

At the end of July we went to Newport for the Folk Festival

Jim James. "I'm in love with his soul, it's a meaning that I understand..."

Alcohol was only served on the pier outside of the state park grounds. The views of Narragansett Bay and Newport harbor were intoxicating.

My old i-phone had a ghost in the machine,

It got into a habit of taking photos of itself.

Aaaw. This conversation is saved for posterity. "My phone is freaking out".

And then my phone died.

The new phone (another 3G) seems to take photos quicker.
