This past weekend, I had the unfortunate task of taking Bird to be put to sleep (she had cancer and her condition deteriorated rapidly in the past few days). It was by far the most difficult thing I've ever had to do, emotionally. I don't have any doubt that I did the right thing, but it didn't make the actual decision any easier, nor has it made
