First class of the day is Earth Science at 1030. It's a fairly large class so there's a few people I know, which is nice. The professor is hilarious...he's incredibly sarcastic and has some interesting stories. Plus he has a slight New York/Boston/Midwestern accent mix that's odd. I think he likes to hear himself talk because he never seemed to pause. He also told us that he played football when he was younger and had some knee surgery. Anyway, he told us that if he fell, it's because his knee replacement shifted, and for us not to worry because he'll shake it a little bit to pop it back into place, get up, and start teaching again like nothing happened. He said it happens if he turns oddly, or puts too much pressure on it and if he had the chance to play again, he'd play twice as hard, so he has a good attitude about it. So I guess it would be strange to witness, but not to sound like a bad person, interesting to see once.
So then I went to lunch and off to western civ at 130. We have a lecture with about 120 people for half the time, then break up into 5 groups with a professor and have discussion. My professor seems interesting enough, so it shouldn't be too bad.
Well...I'm out...later.
