What did you just finish reading?
Divergent by Veronica Roth. I'd given it to my mother because of her fondness for the Hunger Games, she tore through it and then loaned it to me. I'd agree with her assessment of it being a bit Hunger Games-lite. It's one of those YA dystopias, in this case in a post-something Chicago where society is divided into different factions based on personality traits. I found it fun and fast-paced but wasn't crazy about the world-building - since it was focused on training we never really got to see how all these factions actually functioned. Points for not having a love triangle and a heroine who values her own strength and toughness, but no one was particularly memorable.
I also read Yoko Ogawa's collection Revenge, a series of loosely connected stories that got creepier as the book progressed. Mostly well done.
What are you currently reading?
Among the many things I have on the go is Kate Atkinson's Life After Life, which I'm quite enjoying so far.
