Above It All

The skin of the forehead, which touches the cold pane of the car window, felt numb and and unattached to its owner's head.
The streams of water were the only thing Kibum was able to see. Outside hurried the path through the forrest away from the vehicle, the darkness has sucked in every shape of the nature they passed.

Deeper moving into the woods; for the whole ride they haven't spoken a word. Above the rolling wheels, stagnation ruled the scene. Thoughts hung in the car ceiling like the thick clouds on the sky, dark and motionless.
Jonghyun cleared his throat, but wasn't able to use his washed voice. Following the way upwards, onto the hill, Kibum placed his hand between the pane and his face.

Pebbles splattered in a rhythmic rattle away from the car as Jonghyun one-handedly turned the steering wheel towards the parking space.
Kibum straightened his back and when darkness fell over the two boys and the cooling engine, the silence seemed to be evolving like an ocean around the drowning one.

The pressure of the unspoken words, of the wounds they wore like a combat-decor, the pressure of the undeniable tension between two people, who have forgotten how to love without a safety-net, all that made Kibum flee out of the car, ripping the door open and inhaling the cold night breeze as if he has been chocked.

Jonghyun elongated his chin towards the thin arch on the sky, a pale bit of the moon, sharp in its edges, threatening to vanish within the next days.
He had never felt more afar to the stars than in this night.

Steps can be careful, they can be fast or fatal. Jonghyun and Key have forgotten, how they got to the small bench. Neither wanted to sit again.
The gloomy trees in the back, on top of the hill, a wide area spacing out in front of them, the two looked down on the city. Lights were forming patterns and the busy roads wiggled like glowing snakes through the jungle of skyscrapers and anonymous souls.

Key hold the umbrella, white dots on a black fabric. Jonghyun didn't dare to hide fully under the disguise; the sky laughed down at the chameleon on a stick and moist Jonghyun's shoulder.

The twinkling distracted, it filled the holes, it sparkled in false promise of hope; pretends a home awaiting, a nest, a place to escape to.
It didn't eased their minds, it made them feel lonely, way up high over the civilization.

From the right came a wall of fog rolling in, spread like a blanket, slowly yet massive, all over the city, cushioning the windows and the cars, hiding the rushing and moving until there is just one phenomenal ocean of white air above the area, hushing its activeness.

And now, as everything has finally calmed down, Jonghyun and Key started to travel. They went far across that cloudy sea, shaking the chains of their allday-life away, eventually feeling alive again, able to act, to react, to graze the joys of being.

Key's chest felt lifted upwards, felt like bursting from the luscious filling, a teary smile freed him from the edges of his piled up mind.
Too long, too much. The layers of sorrow morphed into the same fog lying to their feet, seeking out of their pores, drowning downwards, leaking out of the rotten armor.

Between the trees, in front of a bench, on top of a hill, above a pond of fog, under the dim stars, Jonghyun took Kibums hand.
And they stood there for as long as they needed until they were able to go home, back to the city, its busy roads and its twinkling windows.

Ponylove for the Shawols ~ ♥♥♥

~ Well, my dearest chingu, I hope you liked it! I dunno, which atmosphere u had in mind, when listening to the song, kekeke, that is at least, which atmosphere I caught. <3
On another note: I was bee-busy writing on the 'Orange Cat' and will continue today a lot more. The fic will be 350 main-chapters long, plus some additional stuff, kekekeke. I have written around 275 of the main-chapters, so an end to it is already visible, which makes me all giggly, kekekee
Enough of the teasing!
Hope, ya all enjoyed reading and have a wonderful autumn-weekend! Be ponyloved, my dears~ ♥
