A week of broken promises? So far... yeah.
Sorry for not updating as promised. The pictures are still here somewhere, except that I was unable to sort them and post them, as I fell ill with fever on Sunday evening and has not completely recovered so far. I'm not sure what was wrong with me, because apart from fever around 39°C, chills and mild nausea I had no other symptoms. The fever is gone now and only a shadow of nausea remains, but I still feel kind of crappy.
What's more, I had to break several important promises due to this sudden illness - on Sunday night, I had a deadline for a magazine article, which I had to cancel, as I simply could not write. Monday, I was supposed to be present at 003chan's graduation exam as a supervisor of her thesis, but I could not come. Not that she would not be great even without me sitting there and looking important, but I really wanted to be there and cheer for her. :( Anyway, congrats!
On Tuesday, I had to cancel my lesson at the private high school where I'm teaching Japanese once a week.
Today, I was woken up by phone from a rather miffed staff member of the National Library, where I was expected to help with determining the right titles and authors of some Japanese books. I have to say I completely forgot about this one - not only because of the fever, but because I'm generally absent-minded. Guess that will teach me not to make appointments calls while trying a new pair of shoes in a shop.
Gah.
I suppose I'll go out now - need to buy some food and detergent etc. We'll see what it does to me. Hope I'll be okay enough to go out tomorrow, as I need to do something at school and then there are entrance exams on Friday and I'm supposed to be there and look formidable, so that the applicants lose their will to cheat.
