Ah, tired tired...

... legs aching. High heels are killing me.
I suppose I can say I have been rather active today, especially considering the fact that I was nearly unable to get out of bed in the morning. Am I still jet-lagged or what? I'd hate to think my thyroid is kicking back in with a vengeance.
Anyway, went nearly everywhere I was supposed to go today, with the small exception of doctor's office. I was thinking about visiting there because the unpleasant heart flutter that has been making me sick since Japan, but seems it has finally gone away. Maybe it got scared by the possible doctor's visit. Anyway, should it come back, I'm going there straight away.
What else? Ummm... I unleashed myself at the bookshop again. I bought myself History of Korea, which is a part of the World History series published by one of the major Czech publishing houses. My teacher translated their History of Japan and his essay on modern Japanese society was attached to the book as well.
Also got myself three books of History of Clothing series, which I haven't got yet - namely Middle Ages, Renaissance and Uniforms (uh, the pictures are ridiculously small XD). Aaah, they are great but it cost so much money! I suppose I should put them into a bookcase and pretend I've had them since ages ago, rather than telling Dana how much it cost.
Aaaalso, the books I have ordered via Amazon have arrived! Yay! I forgot the titles, though. XD Well, they are books on Japanese gay community and history of homosexuality. Can't wait to open the packet! Will use them on my PhD thesis. Oh, and speaking about school - got a sweet surprise today! :) One of my former teachers (actually my colleague now... I suppose) - the one who specializes in Japanese history and philosophy - emailed me today to tell me I should visit one pretty luxurious Belgian pralines shop near our school, as there is a nice box of pralines waiting for me.  It was his way of saying thank you because I'd handled one errand for him when I was in Japan. But as I did not expect anything for it, I was really pleasantly surprised. I went there on my way home and the shop assistent was all smiles when she handed me the fancy box with ribbons. She probably thought it was left there for me by my boyfriend. Haha. Imagine my nice but rather strict and very asketic (and nearly 20 years senior AND married with children) colleague as my boyfriend. Man. I mean poor man. But really, he's nice. We were all mighty scared of him as students (especially in our 2nd and 3rd year) as he's really strict and was known to make students cry with his sharp (but rather accurate) comments. But slowly we became to appreciate him very much and somehow I think my wife will soon love him as well, as she is to come home in less than one hour and I think it will not last more than five minutes before she devours her share of Belgian pralines. XD
