Background/Personality: Rarity, a young unicorn from Ponyville, is a fashionista and a lady. She
is a talented fashion designer and seamstress and loves to design
clothing for others. She is a diligent worker and has big dreams. Her
biggest dream is to design for the Princess Celestia, and she is very
delighted when celebrities acknowledge her skills in fashion. She is
quite dainty and ladylike, with proper manners and talks in a formal
way. She can be a drama queen at times, like her theatrical lamenting
about her career almost having been ruined. She enjoys luxury and being
pampered, having special spa treatments every week. She is very tidy
and meticulous about details, making sure everything is neat and lovely.
She can be quite a perfectionist about it though, like once spending
hours fussing with the bird nest she was assigned to make. Despite
her femininity, she is far from weak and a damsel in distress. She can
actually be brave, and very resourceful in hectic situations, like when
she was captured by the diamond dogs and used her wits to drive them
crazy with her incessant complaining. Not always though, as she did
panic like most everyone else during the parasprite infestation.
Rarity is very fashionable and a lover of beautiful and elegant things.
She also is fond of jewels. She likes to accesorize, even at impractical
times, like wearing a nice scarf during a dragon hunt and wondering if
she should have brought a tiara to match. She certainly is a beauty, and
she knows it and is very proud of her looks. She can be rather vain and
hates to get dirty and her looks messed up. However, she is willing to
forego even that at times to help her friends, such as the times she
helped move the crashed tree out of Twilight's house at the risk of
getting muddy. Sometimes she does go too far with her pride of her
looks, like basking in the admiration of her new wings in Cloudsdale.
She did not get along well with robust Applejack, their styles of life
clashing, as seen in but they eventually looked over their differences and became
friends.
As prissy as she is, Rarity is extremely generous and
giving. In fact, she is the wielder of the legendary Element of
Generosity. Examples of her generosity include her offering makeovers,
cutting off her own tale to replace a sea serpent's lost glamorous
mustache, and making ball gowns for her friends, even altering them to
being very unstylish and to the point of her exhaustion to fit their
satisfaction.
during the return of the villain Discord, the bringer of chaos. He
began to troll and twist around Ponyville and stole the Elements of
Harmony. The girls went into the labyrinth thinking the elements were
there, but one by one, he brainwashed them. Rarity's generous nature
was once completely twisted around. She was tempted with the
illusion of a giant diamond. She at first refused, knowing that finding
the missing Elements was more important, but then she fell into it and
he brainwashed her to be selfish and paranoid and hoarding the diamond
which in reality just a boulder. She even gave it the name Tom She
eventually went back to her self after Twilight showed her memories of
their friendship. She never wanted the incident with the Tom to be
spoken of again. Using their friendship and the refound Elements, their
defeated Discord and were once again the heroes of Equestria.

about Equestria being destroyed, it simply can't be...
3rd person sample: The little bell above the door gave a chime as Rarity entered her
boutique, looking delighted. She had just gotten back from her outing,
exploring the mall of this strange new place, "Oh, what a wonderful
day! Guess what, Opalescense! I have just gotten orders for some of my
new designs for some very important fashion sources in this world! I
came across a lady in town and she loved my hat and we started talking,
and when she heard about my boutique she asked me to make her something!
Oh, I am very excited!" The fluffy white cat cracked open a bleary eye
at her owner and gave a disinterested meow.
The unicorn chuckled
and took off her stylish hat, shaking out the luscious violet curls of
her mane. "It shall be a bit of a challenge, I have never make
clothing for one of these humans before, but I'm sure I could do it."
She slipped on her red, pointy rimmed glasses and began to concentrate.
Nip and tuck, thread and sow. This piece of fabric here, that ribbon
there. The magic glittered around Rarity's horn as she controlled the
couture items, sending the outfit into form around the mannequin. She
even had Opalescense as an assistant, much to the grump cat's
displeasure. Rarity was working hard and putting her all. She really
wanted to make a good impression , she knew she could. Even if she was
stuck in this strange new place, She wanted her talents to be known.
Finally, her new work was finished. "Oh, it's magnificent!"
